Until the early 2000s, Demuro was already a celebrity in Sardinia's squares as an interpreter of **cantu a chiterra**, the island's traditional music, which requires a powerful voice capable of carrying outdoors without microphones. That early experience gave him an extraordinary vocal range and the habit of not fearing the audience, but the real turning point came when he was nearly thirty, an unusually mature age for the field, when he decided to stop and enter the Conservatory to rebuild his instrument from scratch.
